What kind of project is it?

It is a social project the aim of which is to support young talented fashion designers by promotion and sales in New York. Those designers are mainly Czech and Slovak fashion design students. The idea is to create cultural space where it will be possible to promote our country through work of fashion designers. We strive to raise awareness of the Czech and Slovak Republics and of their original fashion design.

There is no such place in New York where you could learn more about Czech and Slovak fashion or even shop there. All the designs are original and extraordinary.
Coming to us, you will experience the Czech and Slovak fashion firsthand.

What kind of design do we offer?

You can shop for original hand crafted clothing which is only produced in limited series.

Where would we like to sell?

We are looking for a nice, respectable place.
We would also like to sell online.

What is our vision?

To have permanent selling space where it would be possible to hold various cultural events including
fashion shows.

Czech republic

The Czech Republic is situated approximately in the geographical center of Europe and has an area of 78,866 sq. km. It is a landlocked country 326 km from the Baltic and 322 km from the Adriatic. It shares borders with Germany (810 km), Poland (762 km), Austria (466 km) and Slovakia (265 km). The highest point of elevation is the peak of Mt. Snezka (1,602 m above sea level) and the lowest point of elevation is near Hřensko where the River Labe leaves Czech territory (117 m above sea level). Prague, or Praha, as it is known locally, is the capital of the Czech Republic. This Central European city, inhabited by Slavs, influenced by Europe, and known globally as a top travel destination, is stimulating, accessible, and unforgettable. Czech glass is a byword for quality and tradition throughout the world and today it is considered to be one of the most valuable jewels belonging to our heritage. The first glass factories were founded in the Czech Republic as early as 13th century and the development and use of glass have expanded into all branches since that time.

Slovak republic

Slovakia – the official name of which is the Slovak Republic – is 49,035 km2 of area for never-ending lots of experience. Slovakia has a population of 5,379,445 inhabitants (as at 1st January 2004) of various nationalities. The most of inhabitants is of Slovak nationality, to which is registered 85.8 % of inhabitants. The biggest city and at the same time a capital of Slovakia is Bratislava having approximately 450,000 inhabitants. It is situated in the south-west part of Slovakia, near the Austria and Hungary borders, and it spreads on both sides of the biggest European river the Danube. This river connects Bratislava with the capitals of surrounding countries – Vienna and Budapest. The Tatras, you can experience here the snowing also in the middle of July, or August. However, you can experience the Tatras in every season. They offer the unique opportunities for hiking in the clear air in the beautiful mountain nature during the spring and autumn, and during the summer you can utilize your leisure at the water reservoirs with a wide offer of water sports.

Czechoslovakia

Before World War I part of Austria-Hungary, in 1918 the Czechs and neighbouring Slovaks joined together and formed the independent republic of Czechoslovakia. In World War II occupied by the Germans in 1939. After World War II, Czechoslovakia fell within the Soviet sphere of influence and became a member of the Warsaw Pact. In 1968, an invasion by Warsaw Pact troops ended the efforts of the country's leaders to liberalize Communist Party rule and create "socialism with a human face" during the "Prague Spring". With the collapse of Soviet authority in 1989, Czechoslovakia regained its freedom through a peaceful "Velvet Revolution" and became a sovereign state. On 1 January 1993, the country underwent a "velvet divorce" into its two national components, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. In 1999 the Czech Republic became a member of the NATO and in 2004 a member of the European Union.
